Bio Rosana Ourens got her PhD at the University of A Coruña (Spain) in 2013. During her 9 years affiliated with the Marine Resources and Fisheries Group, she was involved in several research projects focused on characterizing and monitoring the fishing activity in small-scale fishery systems. Her thesis, titled 'Life history and population dynamics of the sea urchin Paracentrotus lividus', highlights the biological characteristics that may determine the success of the management measures for the echinoid fisheries in Galicia (NW Spain).
