Instructional Developer, SoM - Information Resources & Technology
Current Role at Stanford Mike McAuliffe is an Instructional Technologist with Stanford Medicine's Educational Technology team. He supports a wide range of educational technology operations, projects, and initiatives in support of teaching, learning, and research.
Mike joined the School of Medicine in August 2012 and served as Director of the Educational Technology team from 2014 to 2015. In his current role, Mike collaborates with a team that offers instructional technology expertise, project management, classroom technology training, and media production services. This team also collaborates with Stanford Medicine faculty to design and produce video content for online/hybrid courses at Stanford Medicine, online courses for continuing medical education, online materials for residents and fellows, and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and Distributed Flips offered on OpenEdX, Coursera, Khan Academy, and Venture Lab.

Bio Within a diverse technical and electronic environment provide high quality and efficient Desktop Support in every aspect related to computer resources for the School of Medicine. Create a professional, secure and organized work environment so work procedures can move smoothly through the organization. Develop standard operating procedures for Desktop Support staff and manage escalated tickets when supervision is necessary. Director of Application Services, IRT, SoM - Information Resources & Technology
Current Role at Stanford I'm the Director of IRT's Application Services team. We are primarily focused on the development and integration of web-based solutions for the School of Medicine, making use of a variety of hardware and software technologies. We partner with other groups within IRT and around the University to build and support our solutions. I manage our development and release processes, set architecture standards, and run our development and QA environments.
