Modern high-throughput technology presents us with new opportunities and challenges. We develop statistical approaches for high dimensional data in the attempt of improving our understanding of the molecular basis of health related traits.

Bio Shiri Sadeh-Sharvit, PhD is a clinical psychologist and a visiting instructor at the Eating Disorders Research Program at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Together with James Lock, MD PhD, Dr. Sadeh-Sharvit leads studies testing innovative interventions for parents diagnosed with eating and weight disorders and their children. Additionally, she is involved in developing, evaluating and disseminating online interventions for eating disorders.

Current Research and Scholarly Interests Primary research interests include the nature and treatment of eating disorders
(particularly bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder), the development and treatment of obesity, and the development and treatment of problematic eating patterns in patients following bariatric surgery.

Current Research and Scholarly Interests We investigate the mechanisms by which normal cells become tumor cells, and we combine genetics, genomics, and proteomics approaches to investigate the differences between the proliferative response in response to injury and the hyperproliferative phenotype of cancer cells and to identify novel therapeutic targets in cancer cells.

Current Research and Scholarly Interests My research focuses on the intersections of cognitive science, neuroimaging, and computational modeling. I am currently working on several projects including (a) finding the neural correlates of creativity and its enhancement across lifespan; (b) developing multi-person neuroimaging paradigms to assess the neural correlates of social interaction; and (c) constructing methods to characterize and model the dynamics of brain’s intrinsic activity.
