Research & Scholarship

Current Research and Scholarly Interests

In January 2015 I was awarded a grant by SPECTRUM at Stanford. I am principal investigator on a research project to examine the clinical effectiveness of Stanford Coordinated Care, with a comparison to effectiveness of care given to comparable patients at other primary care clinics at Stanford. SCC is a primary care team model that provides care for Stanford employees and their dependents with chronic health conditions.

As of January 2015 I am co-investigator on research into relative acceptance of three modalities of Better Choices Better Health, the Lorig chronic disease self management peer support program: on-line, in-person or by written take home materials.
