My research interests lie, broadly, within the field of regenerative medicine. My goal is to develop tools and strategies for engineering composite tissues, with the ultimate goal of developing whole-organ level constructs for the purposes of organ-replacement therapy. This is accomplished through the investigation of various components required of this process including microcirculatory beds, extracellular matrix materials, growth factors, and stem cell differentiation.
