Dr. Getzenberg has made extensive contributions to the scientific literature through published journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts. He is a member of many professional organizations including the Society for Basic Urologic Research, American Association for Cancer Research, the American Urological Association and serves as the Basic Science Editor for UROLOGY. Currently, Dr. Getzenberg's research is funded by multiple grants from the NIH, National Cancer Institute (NCI), Department of Defense and other organizations. He has received Young Investigator awards from the Society for Basic Urologic Research and National Kidney Cancer Association; the Shannon Award from NCI; and the Swebilius Cancer Research Award from Yale University.
