Center for Cancer Nanotechnology Excellence Focused on Therapy Response

Environment

The rich research environments at each of our collaborating institutions, described next, are well-suited to advancing the goals of the CCNE-TR, not only through the specific resources available at each, but the scientific interactions, breadth of expertise, and support of interdisciplinary research present at each institution. Summary of the Overall Environment for this CCNE-TR Consortium The environments at Stanford University including the Bio-X, UCLA including the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI), Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and GE Global Research make this CCNE-TR consortium a highly multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional effort primed for potential success. The infrastructure and intellectual wealth in nanotechnology development, nanofabrication, nanocharacterization, molecular imaging, tissue/serum proteomics, cancer biology, and clinical cancer trials is cutting-edge. The infrastructure and key leadership support provided by each of these consortium members is enormous and should allow us to face any challenges that we encounter to help bring our CCNE-TR vision to fruition.
