Mark Schnitzer
Mark Schnitzer
Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences and of Applied Physics
Member, MIPS
Address:Stanford University
Gilbert Biology Building
Dept of Biological Sciences
Stanford, California 94305-5020
E-mail: mschnitz@stanford.edu
Research Interests:The Schnitzer lab develops and uses fluorescence endoscopy and microscopy imaging methods to study biophysical events underlying various forms of learning and memory. A major goal is to accomplish studies of these cellular and molecular events in alert animals. Using fluorescence imaging of neuronal populations, indvidual neurons and neuronal dendtrites, the Schnitzer lab aims to monitor cellular dynamics and simple behaviors concurrently in alert rodents.
Current Labs:In Vivo Optical Imaging of the Nervous System Lab
