After studying chemistry at the undergraduate and masters level in India, Sandeep came to the United States to earn his PhD in organic chemistry at Ohio State University. After a postdoctoral stint at the University of Kansas, he joined the Imaging Radiobiology Lab. Sandeep's work is on the synthesis of new radiotracers for positron emission tomography, focusing on agents to image hypoxia-regulated targets. During boring runs of column chromatography, Sandeep passes the time practicing Indian classical music.
